Ear training for bass players, always against a tone centre

Coming soon

The LBS Ear Trainer is ear training built for the bass. Most ear trainers play you two notes out of nowhere. Here the band holds a tone centre, a bass asks a question against it, and you answer: by tapping, on a fretboard, or by playing it back on your own bass.

It starts with intervals and chord flavours, then scales, then inversions, and every answer is written out on the stave, in TAB and on the neck.

It isn’t open yet.

There’s more in the Shed

The metronome, the drone and the tuner are free for anyone to use. They come from the Shed, the practice space in the member portal that everyone who has sessions with me gets. In there they sit alongside a practice diary, a habit tracker, a tempo tracker, a recorder and a shelf of backing tracks, and it all works as an app on your phone.
